☆☆☆ LUX White Collection Launching Event Part 2 : #MomentBerkilau ☆ ☆ ☆

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope it's magical!☺

So, last Thursday I was so lucky to be one of beauty blogger that got invited into
LUX White Collection Launching Event.

It was placed in Grand Ballroom Dharmawangsa Hotel with the theme of
"Dazzling White"
I really like the decoration of the room that they created. It was elegant, chic and dazzled with lots of Genuine Czech Crystal as the symbol of the main product that I'm gonna talking about after this. It's just, the atmosphere of the room is so.. precious :)

Moving on to the main event and introduction of the product..
Through kind of a talk show, the spoke person that mainly explain the product are Afriani Karina ( Senior Brand Manager Lux Indonesia ), Roslina Verauli ( psychologist ) and a guest from Preciosa Company, Kucera Vojtech representatives of the Genuine Czech Crystal.

There were also introduced to us 5 beautiful girls that represent "Wanita Lux Putih Berkilau" according to each of the accomplishment they make. They are :

Lala Karmela ( Singer )

Alanda Kariza ( Student and Youth Activist )

Andra Alodita ( Photographer and Lifestyle Blogger )

Stella Rissa ( Fashion Designer ) & Fitria Yusuf ( Fashion Entrepeneur and writer of fashion and beauty ) >> that couldn't make it to come that night.

They were all so glowing & gorgeous, right?! :D

In the middle of the talk show, LUX also asking us about our own #Moment Berkilau, so the host is asking 3 of the blogger to go on stage and write their own story when achieving a glowing moment.

☆ The Star of the Show ☆

With this chance, LUX is promoting their 2 body washes on how to make your skin even radiant and glowing. They are :

 LUX White Radiance
for fair, glowing skin
ingredients : mulberry extract, honey & crushed shiny pearls
fragrance : floral scents > lily of the valley, rose, jasmine + fruity scents > musk and vanilla

 LUX White Glamour
for fair, smooth skin
ingredients : mulberry extract, honey & microcrystals
fragrance : floral scents > rose and freesia + fruity scents > citrus and amber

*As you can see, there are plenty of micro-pearls / crystal in it. But don't worry, the particle were so fine so it doesn't feel harsh and won't feel like scrubbing your skin all the time.
*The smell were all so nice! My personal favorite maybe the Lux White Glamour scents :)
*Doesn't dry out your skin afterwards.
( Ok, that's just my first impression of the product :D )

Battle of the Face Primer : L'oreal Base Magique VS Benefit POREfessional

Hi bubblies!
How's everything going?
Hope it's in good place :)

So.. this is again, my Battle of the brand label post about ( silicone base ) Face Primer that I've been using and trying out.

L'oreal Base Magique VS Benefit POREfessional

.
.
.

which one is good?
which one is not?
here's my in depth review for each of the item :)

******************************************************************************
L'oreal Base Magique ☆
******************************************************************************
Price Tag : IDR. 149000 rupiahs ( around $14.90 US Dollars ) / 15ml of product.

Packaging wise..
It's in a form of a jar, thick glass jar which is quite heavy and bulky. Of course another let down is, you have to dip your finger or other tools to get the product. And jar is the fastest place bacteria could grown if you have a dirty hands or tools that bring the bacteria in easily :/
I can see why it's in a form of a jar though. The product is in a thick consistency, more like in between a whipped and a gel texture. It even says that it's a unique blend of silicon oils and soft light powders.

Texture wise..
The color is milky white, but there is a hint of pink in it. No fragrance as far as I recon. The texture is quite easy to blend. well.. it's a thick consistency, so you need to swipe it couple of times before it blends nicely to the skin. The color blend nicely to the skin color and didn't leave a white cast afterwards.

I think the color could be an advantage to my skintone, as it is a rosy color, it could brightens up my face a bit.

Application wise..
For every primer, I like to use the warmth of my finger to blend them. And I only use it for my specific problem areas that I have. Here's the suggested instruction that was given in the packaging :

The Performance!
I would say, it's a great -or I may say- AWE.SOME. face primer for a drugstore product. It last me long until I finish this thing. A good primer for oil control as well. It really fills in my pores or acne scars and doesn't make it look cakey or heavy even if you put full coverage foundation on top. Giving a velvety effect texture to my face. So far, Love it!

******************************************************************************
☆ Benefit POREfessional
******************************************************************************
I got this through a giveaway ( read my previous post about that --> click here! ),
but you can check them online --> click here!
Price Tag : $30 US Dollars / 22ml of product.

Packaging wise..
It's in a form of a squeeze tube. Which is better! It has a lovely sweet floral scents. To me personally, I love the smell! So it doesn't bother me that much. :P
The consistency is more liquidy than the L'oreal one. Which I think it's another plus thing. It sink better on the skin, blend more effortlessly, and I believe the particle is finer and silkier so it fills in the pores or fine lines amazingly.

Texture wise..
The color is more like a skintone, I believe it will be a benefit for people with darker or warmer complexion than a fair skin ( compare to the L'oreal one ). But again, the color blend nicely to the skin color. hence, primer is supposed to be applied before foundation. So.. no need to worry about that, right? :)

Application wise..
For this primer, here the exact instruction written in the packaging :
Apparently, you can use it OVER and UNDER makeup ( in this case, the hint of the skintone color helps a lot! )

The Performance!
I would say, it does fills in the pores and fine lines tremendously AWESOME. Hence, you can wear it alone and become poreless China Doll without need any layer of foundation because the color ( for some of you ) could suit the skintone color pretty well!

***

All in all..
I would say.. both of the these are a good face primer! The oil control feels the same to me though. I always put it on top of BB cream or foundation, so the specific BB cream or foundation that I use that day take a big roll on the oil control. But, I would gladly say that these two primer really good to make the foundation last all day and stick better on the skin, your skin felt smoother afterwards, glides your foundation application easier, and make your foundation look more flawless!

Maybe if I had to choose one, Benefit feels more improved with the color, packaging, texture, and smell.. oh my! I love the smell :P But again, all in all.. both of the products have a quality that as good as a face primer could give :)

So, have you tried these products?

Review : Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil + Comparison with NYX & Urban Decay!

Hi bubblies!
How's everything going?
Hope you're doing magnificent! :D

Here's my in depth review for the
Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil
that was on my previous post the other day --> click here!

With these, I also compare the quality with other similar items from NYX and Urban Decay, which already famous and known for their quality.

in clockwise order :
Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil in 04 Pure Purple
Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil in 06 Metallic Bronze
NYX Slide On Pencil in SL04 Pure White
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Mildew
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Ransom
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Binge

Let's get started!

***

*Color Pay Off : Pigmentation & Texture
All of these products are a high quality one. They glide on nicely, smoothly and very pigmented. The color you get is as opaque as you would imagine, or some.. maybe better! With variety of different finishes they offer, you'll blown away by all of these gorgeousness. ( is that a word? lol. ) :D

Swatches!
no primer. no base.

indoor artificial light

 outdoor day sunlight

Pigmentation >> Urban Decay ♥♥♥♥♥ , NYX ♥♥♥♥♥ , Silkygirl ♥♥♥♥♥

Texture wise.. I have to say, UD is the most creamiest of them all. It feels buttery and melt easily, it goes on like a dream. *_* While Silkygirl and NYX may not as creamy as UD, but still.. it goes on smoothly, nicely and easy to blend or to work with.

Creaminess >> Urban Decay ♥♥♥♥♥ , NYX ♥♥♥♥ , Silkygirl ♥♥♥♥

*Staying Power & Performance :
Smudgeproof? Waterproof? Fadeproof?
While UD felt more creamy than the rest of those two, however.. NYX and SG felt stickier. ( << and that's why they stick better on my skin! ) You can conclude, in this case, to me personal, I prefer NYX or SG over UD! wuow. surprise surprise! :P

Rubbing Test :
in this picture, after it set, I rub them twice.

As you can see, UD fade the most, while SG just a little, but NYX! oh my.. it stays put! 0.0

Smudgeproof >> Urban Decay ♥♥♥ , NYX ♥♥♥♥ , Silkygirl ♥♥♥♥

Water Test :
in this picture, I let the water runs through them, and wow again.. they all stay put!

Waterproof >> Urban Decay ♥♥♥♥♥ , NYX ♥♥♥♥♥ , Silkygirl ♥♥♥♥♥

Another Test ( Water + Rub ) :
In this picture below, I let them stay wet and again, try to rub them.

rub them once :(

rub them twice :"(

I think the idea of waterproof are they can't be rubbed at the same time, because you will loose some of the staying power that they give at first. SO, moral story : you can cry with these, It will stay put.. BUT, you can't wipe your tears.
if you wanna cry, CRY with pride!

*lol.

About the staying power on my lid..
UD fade the most through a couple of hours, while NYX and SG will stay vibrant longer! :D

Fadeproof >> Urban Decay ♥♥♥ , NYX ♥♥♥♥♥ , Silkygirl ♥♥♥♥♥

*Price Range & Color Range
Urban Decay has 24 gorgeous colors selection, with $19 each.
NYX has 18 colors selection total, with $8 each.
while Silkygirl has 12 awesome colors, with roughly $4 each.

I guess.. to me, the cheapest kinda beats by the price. I mean, I prefer more NYX and Silkygirl by their staying power, but I couldn't resist that Urban Decay also have my heart by their color selection :)

*Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil in 04 Pure Purple VS Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Ransom
Maybe in my previous post that I mention earlier, I also said that SG04 Pure Purple would be a great dupe for UD Liner in Ransom. Well, $4 against $19.. hemmm Let's see! :D

If you take a look closely..

UD Ransom has the reflective sheen almost metallic that makes it unique.
While SG Pure Purple just has a satin finish with a deep plum purple color.

But, with different angle it's just slightly almost the same.

When you put it in your eyes ( as your eyeliner or eyeshadow base ), UD Liner in Ransom could brighten up your eyes or any eyeshadow you put on top.. While Silkygirl just makes a gorgeous purple color.
BUT, not hurt to have this as a backup if you like Ransom so much, right?
That's what I do! lol.

So, have you tried any Silkygirl product?
What is your favorite?
